Ajay Virmani Speaks to the Sauder School of Business
October 22, 2007
Mississauga, ONT - Cargojet Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX: CJT.UN) On October 17, students in the Sauder School of Business 2007 MBA program were engaged with one of Canada’s leading business figures, Ajay Virmani, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cargojet, Canada’s Cargo Airline.
“Ajay Virmani reflects the very essence of what we try to convey to our MBA students, actually all students for that matter; a sense of inquisitiveness, commitment, determination, respect for others and teamwork. His entire talk was an illustration of a life journey, which included each of his personal philosophies; in short, 'he walks the talk'. He made a huge impression on the students as well as faculty for his easy manner, his very human approach and story and his sense of vision. Entrepreneurs are not born but are made, self-made with a lot of effort. The students did not see Ajay as lecturing to them as having a conversation with them, it was a horizontal relationship not vertical and that reflects his philosophy and his view of people. Ajay and Cargojet have made a lasting impression on all of the core MBA (2007) students and the faculty. They very much admire him for all he has done and how he has done it,” said Professor David Gillen, Sauder School of Business.
“I was honoured to be invited as a guest speaker before an exceptional group of the future business leaders of Canada. Being back in a university setting was refreshing. Having an opportunity to share my life experiences and philosophies was personally rewarding. I sincerely hope that I contributed to life and learning experience of these students,” said Ajay Virmani.
