Board of Directors Ajay Virmani Mr. Virmani has over 28 years experience in the transportation industry. Mr. Virmani served as Senior Vice President of Cottrell Transport Inc. (“Cottrell”) from 1977 to 1990 when he left Cottrell to form Commercial Transport International (Canada) Ltd. (“CTI”) and Fastair Cargo Systems Ltd. (“Fastair”) where he was President and Chief Executive Officer from 1990 to 2000. CTI and Fastair acquired Cottrell in 1995 and the domestic cargo division of TNT Worldwide in 1996. By 1999 CTI and Fastair had grown to a considerable size within the transportation industry, with the two companies employing 400 employees with combined revenues of approximately $100 million. CTI/Fastair were acquired in January of 2000 by Eagle Global Logistics where he served as President from 2000 to 2001. In August 2001, Mr. Virmani, along with Mr. Mills and Mr. Porteous, formed Canada 3000 Cargo Inc., and entered into an agreement with Canada 3000 Airlines Limited to purchase the assets of Royal Cargo (a division of Canada 3000 Airlines Limited). In 2002, Canada 3000 Cargo Inc. was rebranded as Cargojet Canada Ltd. Mr. Virmani has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cargojet since its inception, and has been responsible for the general business direction of the Company. Mr. Virmani earned a Masters of Business Administration from City University of New York in 1985. Jamie B. Porteous As Executive Vice President of Sales and Service, Jamie B. Porteous has 20 years of experience in the airline industry. Porteous began his career in cargo at Air Canada where he was Director of Operations, responsible for cargo movement control on a global basis. When Air Canada decided to sell its cargo aircraft fleet, Porteous moved to the customer side of the business, spending three years as consultant and director of a rapidly growing, full-service transportation business. Recruited by CanAir Cargo Ltd in 1996, Porteous assumed dual responsibility as Director of Sales & Operations for Canada’s only all cargo overnight carrier. In 1997 CanAir Cargo was acquired by Royal Aviation Inc.and Porteous went on to assume the role of Vice President Sales & Service and was instrumental in building the revenues of Royal Cargo Inc. from a first year basis of $25M CAD to $48M CAD in the fiscal year ended April 1999. Porteous is a partner in the new investment group that purchased the assets of Royal Cargo Inc. in August 2000, to form Canada 3000 Cargo Inc. which has now created the new entity, Cargojet. John P. Webster (Lead Director) Mr. Webster has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Maple Trust Company since 1989 and Principal Officer of Maple Bank GmbH (Toronto Branch) since 2001. Mr. Webster heads the mortgage banking business for Maple Financial Group Inc., a recognized leader in the automated origination, aggregation, securitization and administration of mortgages across Canada. Mr. Webster is currently the Chairman of the Cargojet Advisory Board. Mr. Webster has been involved extensively in politics at both the federal and provincial levels. Mr. Webster received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfred Laurier University in 1979 and Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University in 1982 and 1983, respectively. Mr. Webster has previously served on the Women’s College Hospital Board and is currently a board member and President of Women’s College Health Research. Mr. Webster is currently a director of Maple Trust Company, an advisory board member of St. Josephs Corporation and formerly a board member of Filogix Inc. Paul V. Godfrey Paul Godfrey was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Post on January 1, 2009. Mr. Godfrey's career encompasses long stints in the newspaper business, professional sports management and politics. Mr. Godfrey entered politics in North York was elected as a Councilor in 1964 and then an Alderman in 1966 and 1969. Mr. Godfrey was elected Chairman of the Metropolitan Toronto Council and held this position as Metro Chairman for four terms - a record eleven years. In 1984, Mr. Godfrey left the political world to take on the role of Publisher and CEO of the Toronto Sun newspaper. In 1991, Mr. Godfrey was appointed President and COO of the Toronto Sun Publishing Corporation and in 1996, Mr. Godfrey successfully headed up a management-led buy-out of the company and the Sun Media Corporation was subsequently formed in October 1996. Mr. Godfrey held the position of President & CEO of Sun Media Corporation until his departure in 2000. In September 2000, Mr. Godfrey was appointed the President and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club. Over the years, Mr. Godfrey has received many honours. In 1990, he received the City of Toronto's highest award, the Civic Award of Merit. In 1998, Mr. Godfrey received the Award of Merit from B'nai Birth Canada. In 1999, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada. In 2001, he received an Honorary Doctorate (Hon.D.Eng) from Ryerson University. In 2004, Mr. Godfrey was honoured to receive the University of Toronto's Engineering Alumni Medal. Mr. Godfrey serves on boards including Chair of the RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and Director of Astral Media Inc. He is also the founder of The Herbie Fund, a charity which provides financial support to children from around the world who receive life-altering surgical treatment at The Hospital for Sick Children. Terence M. Francis Mr. Francis has over 35 years experience in the airline industry. Since 1995, Mr. Francis has been the principal of T. & T.G. Consulting Limited providing consulting services to the travel, transportation and tourism sector. In addition to providing advisory and consulting services, Mr. Francis also served on a contract basis as advisor to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Jamaica Limited from 1995 to 1997 and as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer for the Canadian Tourism Commission from 1997 to 2000. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Francis was Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales for Canadian Airlines International, responsible for airline revenue, fleet planning and scheduling, the introduction of technology solutions for revenue maximization and passenger processing and the operations of wholly owned business units Canadian Regional Airlines Limited, Canadian Holidays (tour company) and Canadian North Airlines Limited. Mr. Francis is currently Chairman of the Tourism Sector — Canada/Japan Business Committee, Chairman of the Asia/Pacific Sector — Canadian Tourism Commission, a board member and executive committee member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association and a member of the Traffic Committee — International Air Transport Association. Mr. Francis is the Past Chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association on which he served from 1998 to 1999.
