Position: Junior Travel Coordinator Reports To: Manager, Travel Services
Location: YYZ Shift Days/Hours:
Permanent Full-time

Primary Objective of the Position:

Assist in all aspects of arranging corporate travel within Cargojet with a focus on crew travel.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Communicate monthly crew hotel requirements with all hotel partners
  • Ensure changes affecting hotels, ground transport suppliers or other vendors are sent in a timely manner and recorded for reporting and accounting purposes.
  • Provide credit card authorizations to adhoc hotels and/or vendors where third party billing is required.
  • Book monthly crew airline tickets and ensure any required changes are made and communicated in a timely manner to all affected parties.
  • Track non-refundable tickets.
  • Reconcile monthly Crew American Express card
  • Ensure Cargojet travel policies are followed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience as a travel consultant or experience in airline travel services.
  • College diploma in Travel and Tourism
  • Familiar with GDS such as Sabre/Apollo
  • Full understanding of airline rules and fares
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if required
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and perform well under multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork
